Casa Rossa, which means Red House in Italian, is a beautiful colonial villa full of charm situated on the slopes of the Zomba Plateau, just outside the town. It has a large garden, home to a well-equipped campground, a dorm, some comfortable rooms with private bathroom, a restaurant offering Italian and international menu and a bar on the veranda and in the garden during the dry season.

Red House is the last house on the road from the city up to the Plateau and enjoys a spectacular view, a cool climate and frequent visits of Vervet and Samango monkeys as well as many species of birds.
